One the first to put out a Google TV set-top box, Logitech is slashing the price of its Revue Google TV box from $249 to $99. This price drop comes as a result of Logitech seeking a wider appeal of their product, as sales of the Revue are lackluster. It seems the adoption of the Google TV platform may be at a stand-still, at least until more partners such as Samsung, Vizio, and others join the foray later this year. It’s been nearly a year that Google TV has been available on the market, and Google still needs to convince consumers of their need for Google TV. Maybe with the update Google has planned, like access to the Android Market (which now includes Google Books and Google Movies) Google TV will start to gain traction. If not this might be the beginning of the end of Google TV.
