Macbook Air updated wth Sandy Bridge, Thunderbolt, & OS X Lion

We knew the Macbook Air was due for an update for a while now,and today that update has gone into afect. The new Macbook Air sports Intel’s Sandy Bridge processors, which doubles the speed your Macbook Air. As with the Macbook Pro earlier ths year, the Air was updated with the Thunderbolt I/O port, which is capable of of data transfers of over 20x faster than USB 2.0. The Apple Thunderbolt Display also takes over the duties to connect to old Apple’s Cinema Display that now uses the Thunderbolt I/O port. Last not least, there is the beautiful backlit keyboard, which almost seems like it should have already been there. Who’s going out to get their new Macbook Air today?
